We all have those movies that just take us back, and for a lot of us they are the same movies! Here are ten that look just like your (and my) childhood.
The Rescuers – These were two of my absolute favorite movies as a kid. Talking spy mice, an adorable little girl and just the right amount of suspense… I mean those alligators y’all. Absolutely terrifying to a kid.
Home Alone – We used to watch this after our Thanksgiving meal every year. Am I the only one that totally had a huge crush on Macaulay Culkin???
Free Willy – Because whales should be free and movies about animals should always be emotional.
Dennis the Menace – As a little kid, I thought this was hilarious. Watching it as a parent, it looks way too much like my real life. It’s basically a documentary of my son, ya know?
The Goonies – Some movies need no introduction, because “Goonies never say die!”
Space Jam – Because basketball starts and the Looney Toons somehow make sense together.
The Animated Hobbit – Where it all began, see modern day movie creators? You don’t need three massive films for one little book. Take notes from the animated version next time, mmmk?
Honey, I shrunk the kids – Another favorite! I always secretly hoped to find a shrink ray. And then you can blow up the kids or that time the parents shrunk themselves… I feel like that last one would be a lot more alarming now that I’m a mom too!
Adventures in Babysitting – Just look at that cover. How could we forget all of that epic?
